Moderate party kicks off convention
The conservative Moderate Party has begun its four day party convention in Örebro.
During the next few days, 200 politicians will discuss 180 motions and a number of proposals from the party leadership. Members are expected to decide on a new program of ideas, a new political program for towns and cities, and a new foreign policy.
Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt opened the convention with a speech. "We'll discuss ideas and we'll talk about the future, always from the point of view of the human being," he said.
