Number of victims in hacking case skyrockets

Published torsdag 27 oktober 2011 kl 12.45

After revelations this week that dozens of Swedish websites have been hacked, the number of people affected continues to grow. By Thursday mid-day, it was reported that log-in information for some 390,000 accounts had been available on the Internet for at least a time.

Many of the hacked websites have shut down or changed their security systems.

It is unclear how many people could become victims of crime, for example, if the stolen passwords are used to steal their money, reports Swedish Radio news.
