No one wants CCTV in their home

Published söndag 30 oktober 2011 kl 17.37

Planned surveillance of old people in Malmö has had to be shelved - as no one has assented to being filmed.

Newspaper Sydsvenskan reports that the health authorities want to put cameras in old people's homes, and watch them at night. One of those behind the scheme says that the aim is to save resources and avoid sending out staff during the night, and blames the media for turning the old people against the scheme.

Athough last week the plan to put up cameras was sent to the health authority, so far no one wants to have a camera in their home.
