Left Party exec says no to dual leadership
The executive of the Left Party says it does not want to bring in a Green Party-style dual leadership.
The opposition Left Party is currently holding a leadership contest, to be decided at their January congress. The membership there will also decide whether to bring in a dual leadership, or go with the executive's recommendation.
The Left Party chairman says to news agency TT that he does not know whether congress will vote for dual leadership or not. "It will be interesting to see. I think it is pretty even right now."
The candidates to replace Lars Ohly as leader are Jonas Sjöstedt, Ulla Andersson, Hans Linde and Rossana Dinamarca.
