Swede found dead on Icelandic glacier

Published lördag 12 november 2011 kl 16.41

News agency TT reports that the body of a Swedish tourist who disappeared on an Icelandic glacier has been found.

The Swedish Foreign Ministry says the 25-year-old man, who lived in Great Britain for the past several years, made a call from Solheimajökull on Wednesday and said he was exhausted and lost in severe weather. A rescue mission was sent out. They found the man's rental car and then his footprints in the snow.

On Saturday, authorities found his body.
