Swedish Plane Forced Into Emergency Landing
A pilot has been forced into making an emergency landing at Stockholm’s Arlanda Airport today after reporting a crack in a cockpit window.
The Swedish Skyways turboprop carrying 51 passengers and crew was on its way from Kristianstad in the South to the capital on Monday morning when the pilot alerted air traffic controllers at Arlanda about the crack, which widened during the flight.
Fire engines and amblances were dispatched to the runway, but the plane landed safely and nobody was hurt.
It’s not known what caused the crack.
