Santas on their way to last years games in Gällivare

Santa Clauses from across Europe are set to compete in the second annual Santa Winter Olympics here later this month.

There they will face off in such events as chimney climbing and reindeer driving.

Santa’s from Sweden and neighbouring Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Norway will take part in the games, as well as from Spain, England, France, Estonia and Russia.

The Santa Winter Olympics are to be held in the northern Swedish town of Gällivare from the 19th to the 21st of November.

Along with the sporting events, the Santa’s will also visit a reindeer farm and a Christmas market and hold story time for children. Of course they will also be collecting wish lists.
