Winter weather danger for motorists over Easter
Meteorologists are warning of hazardous driving conditions for the Easter holiday weekend due to a blanket of snow moving across Sweden.
SVT television's meteorologist Pererik Åberg says that snow-squalls are expected on Thursday from southern Norrland and upwards with a risk of ice on the roads.
"Good Friday can be really treacherous with snow in the whole of southern Sweden from southern Norrlands and southwards. With snow and temperatures hovering around the zero celius mark, there is a risk of icy roads. If one is travelling on Friday then drive carefully," Pererik Åberg said.
Motorists are also being advised to delay changing their winter tyres to summer ones until after the weekend.
