Toys for sick children stolen

Published söndag 8 april 2012 kl 10.11

Someone stole thousands of dollars' worth of toys that were meant for sick children, reports the newspaper Göteborgs Posten.

Toys worth around $US 4,500 were stolen in a break-in at the Mattias Håkansson's foundation outside of Gothenburg. The toys were being gathered to give to sick children during Christmas.

"We are very sad. I still don't know what the insurance company is going to say about this, but we expect the worst," says Claes-Håkansson, who runs the foundation.

The crime was discovered on Thursday.
