Family reunites online after nearly two decades

Published torsdag 12 april 2012 kl 13.24

After a long search, a young man in the central Swedish town of Tystberga has finally found his biological mother, through Facebook.

David Olsson was just eight months old when he was adopted from Colombia and moved to Sweden with his new family some twenty years ago. He has been trying to discover his roots for many years, and when he posted a picture of himself online as a little boy, his mother contacted him. Now they talk to each other every day.

"I was a little scared of what I would find. She could have been dead. She could have not wanted to know about me," Olsson tells Swedish Television.
