No smoking during working hours

Published fredag 13 april 2012 kl 15.39

News agency TT reports that 169 of Sweden's 290 municipalities have decided to ban smoking or any tobacco use during work hours. Even it the smoking is done during a break.

The ban allows non-smokers to enjoy a smoke free environment. Founder of think-tank Tobaksfakta told TT that the number of municipalities who have the ban has increased since its introduction in 2003, but that progress is still slow.

Only around a dozen districts have banned the use of snuff during working hours.
