A few hundred people gathered at a square in Malmö on Wednesday to pay tribute to the 19-year-old woman who was killed in Landskrona last week. The demonstration was organised by the organisation Tänk om, which is working against honour related violence.

The woman had contacted the organisation, as she felt she was being threatened. According to the organisation, she had escaped a marriage abroad and returned to Sweden. Landskrona council has been criticised for not doing enough to protect the woman.

A 16-year old boy and a 39-year old woman, who were related to the young woman, are in custody, suspected of murder and of instigating murder.
