Widow to testify in terror trial

Published torsdag 3 maj 2012 kl 19.50

The widow of the Stockholm suicide bomber will stand witness in the trial against his suspected financier.

She published her late husband's video on Youtube after the failed terror attack, allegedly because acquaintances wanted to know why her husband, Taimour Abdulwahab, had killed himself, reports the Swedish news agency TT.

Abdulwahab blew himself up in December of 2010 near Christmas shoppers along one of Stockholm's busiest commercial streets. No one else died in the attack.

The ongoing court case in Glasgow began this week with several expert witnesses called in from Sweden.

A Swedish forensic officer went through images of his body on Thursday. The Swedish news agency TT, which has a correspondent following the court proceedings, reports that the suspect fought back tears at the images, which have never been made public.
