One of the presumed victims of the Malmö serial shooter has been removed from the list of plaintiffs due to lack of evidence, less than two weeks before the trial is set to begin.

The police believe that the man, who was shot at a bus stop in Malmö, was targeted by the so-called Malmö serial shooter, a 40-year-old man arrested for three murders and several attempted murders.

A lack of forensic evidence means the prosecutor will not include his case in the trial.

The police found neither the bullet nor any footprints at the scene of the crime, reports the regional daily Sydsvenskan.
