Swedish politicians often climate change sceptics
A majority of local politicians in Sweden are sceptical about climate change, according to a new survey from the Swedish Defense Research Agency (FOI).
More than 6 in every 10 politicians surveyed said they were not convinced that human activity was causing global warming, reports news agency TT. Almost a half (48 percent) do not fully trust climate change researchers.
“I’m surprised. Climate change and its caused are common knowledge,” said Annika Carlsson-Kanyama, who led the survey at FOI, adding that climate change is a security issue for Swedish society.
