The Swedish women’s relay team took the silver medal at the World Orientering Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland Saturday.

Host nation Switzerland finished first in 1:44:54.2, 2 minutes and 24 seconds ahead of the Swedes, Tove Alexandersson, Annika Billstam, and Helena Jansson.

The second place finish means the Swedish women have taken relay medals in every orienteering world championship since the first in 1966.

Norway finished third.
