Man shoots at family and himself
A 60-year old man shot at his wife and her daughter in Laxfisket near Värnersborg on Friday. The man also burned down the family's house and then shot himself, according to Swedish Radio.
After the man set his home on fire and shot at his family, he ran into a nearby forest. Gunshots were heard coming from the forest, and the police later found the man there with gunshot wounds in his torso.
Local police tell Swedish Radio the man is alive but seriously injured and receiving care at a hospital in near Trolhättan. Doctors say the man is stable, but that his condition is severe. The man's wife and her child escaped without serious injuries, though it is unclear how they managed to do so.
