flooding a house using a hose?

Police: "I've never heard of anything like this before"

Published söndag 29 juli 2012 kl 11.18

Rain was not the only culprit behind flooding on Saturday. About 100 kilometers south of Gothenburg, in the towns of Ängelholm and Munka-Ljungby, someone or some people deliberately tried to flood two houses by boring a hole in the walls and running a garden hose through them.

The police and the rescue services in the area set out for the houses after getting two flooding alerts that came within about an hour of each other, reports news agency TT.

"I've never heard of anything like this before," says Jimmy Modin with the Skåne county police department.

Nobody was home when the flooding happened, but one of the inhabitants told hd.se that he and his family can no longer live in their house because of the damage.
