Sweden and Canada tied 2-2 in their Olympic soccer match, part of the group rounds, Tuesday afternoon at St. James' Park.

Sweden was ahead 2-0 early on, thanks to goals scored by midfielder Marie Hammarstrom in minute 14 and forward Sofia Jakobsson just a couple minutes afterwards. But Canada's Melissa Tancredi later scored two for her team, making the game a draw.

Both teams will go onto the quarterfinals on Friday. News agency TT writes that Sweden will likely play against France.
