Polish football hooligans dumped in the suburbs
After more than 12 hours of clashes between Swedish and Polish football hooligans Thursday night, the Stockholm police filled a bus with Polish supporters and dumped them in a suburb outside the city center.
Several hours before the start of Thursday’s soccer match between Stockholm’s AIK and the Polish side Lech Poznan, several hundred fans of the two teams started fighting.
The brawling continued after the Europa League match, which AIK won 3-0.
There were several injuries, including one serious knife stabbing. More than 30 supporters were taken into custody during the evening. On person remains in custody, on suspicion of assault.
