Women's soccer team out of Olympics
At the London Olympics, the women's soccer team are out of the tournament after losing 2-1 to France in the quarter finals. Sweden took the lead twenty minutes in through midfielder Nilla Fischer, but fell behind as France scored two quick goals by the end of the first half.
"I think it is a shame that Sweden is out of the tournament already in the quarter finals, because the team has greater potential," said Richard Henriksson at Swedish Radio Sport after the final whistle.
"There is no shame in going out against France, but I think that all Swedes – players and staff – feel that they should have won."
