Published tisdag 7 augusti 2012 kl 10.37

A 17-year-old girl shot in her apartment yesterday afternoon died from her injuries, according to the Stockholm Police. But on Tuesday police said the woman is in critical condition, not dead.

"I don't have any other information than what I gave you yesterday. A woman is seriously injured after being shot yesterday, and one man is in custody on suspicion of committing the crime," Officer Christian Jofur, the head of the investigation, told Swedish online newspaper DN.se.

The woman was shot shortly after 1 p.m. Monday and flown by helicopter to Karolinska University Hospital in Solna. Shortly after the shooting a man was arrested. He is being held on suspicion of committing the crime.
