The number of accidents involving wild boars has increased by 63 percent in the first half of this year compared to 2011. “They had a good year this year and the youngsters have survived, with good weather, so there are more wild boars and that’s why accidents rise,” says Daniel Söderberg, a game and wildlife manager for the Swedish Hunter's Association.
Watch out for those wild boars
Thousands of moose and deer become road kill every year, but cars are increasingly hitting wild boars. The Swedish wild boar population has exploded in recent years. And these little beasts are causing more car accidents than ever.
