Uppsala kidnapper tried to buy a witness
A man convicted of kidnapping an Uppsala student has admitted that he tried to buy a witness who could testify in his defence.
The man, 27, has been called the brains behind the kidnapping. He has already been sentence to eight years in prison. Now he has admitted sending letters calling for people to lie and support his story, in exchange for over US$ 7,000.
The man still insists he is innocent, and his lawyer, Thomas Bodström, says that this "desperate" attempt to buy his way out does not har his client's credibility.
