The DN Galan Diamond League track and field meeting at Stockholm’s Olympic Stadium Friday saw three new stadium records.

In a field filled with stars from the London Olympics, shot putter Valerie Adams from New Zealand beat a 230 year old arena record with a throw of 20.26 meters. Sandra Perkovic of Croatia erased a record just as old with a 68.77 meter discus throw. And Yulia Zaripova of Russia beat the previous stadium record by 12 seconds, running the 3000 meter steeplechase in the fastest time of the year at 9:05.02.

Otherwise, Olympic women's 400 meters champion Sanya Richards-Ross won her first race since the London Games.

The Dominican Republic's Felix Sanchez was beaten in the 400 meter hurdles while Olympic 1500 meter champion Taoufik Makhloufi of Algeria, running in the 800, was upstaged by 18-year-old Ethiopian Mohammed Aman.
