More expensive driving tests on way
Taking a driving test is to get more expensive in Sweden as of next week, and now the Swedish Automobile Association is warning that the price increase could make it more difficult for people to get a job, news agency TT reports.
"All price-hikes make it more difficult to get a driving licence. And we know that a driving licence is quite often extremely positive when people are looking for a job. This could mean that some people won't get into the job market" Mikael Höög, press officer at the association says.
As of the 1st September sitting the theory test will cost 325 SEK (around US$50), and taking the practical driving test will cost 800 SEK (around US$120).
