As a footballer, he was one of Sweden's all-time greats, winning trophies at IFK Gothenburg and Liverpool as well as playing in Italy's Serie A with Fiorentina. Long-since retired, Glenn Hysén is more known these days for having a gay son in football and for his encourgement of gays in sport.

It`s a far cry from the days when he was regarded with suspicion by Sweden`s gay community following an incident of assault at a German airport. The 52-year-old tells all in his new autobiography "Ha de gott" which is out now and spoke to Radio Sweden`s Dave Russell, who began by asking him about his time at Liverpool whom he joined just two months after the Hillsborough disaster.
