The Left Party says that Beatrice Ask is wrong to classify all documents on Säpo's spending, and they have reported her to the parliament's Constitutional Committee, reports Swedish Television News.

Justice Minister Beatrice Ask denied the request by newspaper Dagens Nyheter to see how the Swedish intelligence service Säpo spends its money, saying that revealing this information would threaten state security.

"There is good reason to question whether this is correct procedure. If the justice minister is classifying details, to avoid an investigation, and to prevent the public seeing Säpo's internal accounting, then this must be looked into by the Constitutional Committee", writes the Left Party's Lena Olsson, in a press release.
