Power cut hit 20,000 homes in Gothenburg
More than 20,000 households are without electricity on Thursday evening following a power cut in the Gothenburg area on Sweden’s west coast.
The outage was caused by a faulty cable at one of Vattenfall transformers according to a local power company.
Earlier in the day the city’s airport, Landvetter was hit by a similar cut but no flights were delayed according to airport authorities.
The power is expected to return by 3 am.
