Circus performer gets hit by an arrow
A circus performer was shot by a crossbow during a performance at Gärdet in Stockholm on Sunday, according to the tabloid Aftonbladet. However, Jeanette Ramnitz, the press contact with Cirkus Scott says the accident was not serious.
Ramnitz says the circus was using a safety crossbow and that the arrow only broke the skin, where there is a small sore.
"She is not seriously injured but has been taken to the hospital for a check-up," says Ramnitz. The performer is expected to rejoin the circus later on Sunday.
The police understand the incident to be a work-related accident.
