More snow alerts for south and Stockholm
The Swedish meteorological office has upgraded an earlier snowfall warning for southern Sweden from class 1 (some danger to the public) to class 2 (danger to public and major material damage) for the southern counties of Kalmar and Öland.
Up to 40 cm of fresh snowfall is expected by the end the day and there is a danger of snow drifts along the entire Baltic Sea coast.
A new class 1 snowfall warning has also been issued for the Stockholm area with about 5 cm snow expected, particularly near the coast.
