A snow blizzard has hit Sweden's Småland's coast. SMHI has issued a Class 2 weather warning for the county of Kalmar, which includes the island of Öland. Up to 20 centimetres of snow is expected in some places.

Strong winds are increasing the danger of snow blindness and drivers are being warned to stay at home. Bus and train traffic is also severely affected.
