Swedish Finance Minister Anders Borg has played down the problems in launching the so-called “job pact” agreement between the government, the unions and industry, aimed at creating more jobs for young people.

At a hastily called press conference the day after the news broke that talks among the three parties had broken down, Borg said the government would go ahead with proposals concerning payroll taxes, unemployment insurance fees, and support measures included in the plan.
