Youth under suspicion after school explosion
The Stockholm police say they have questioned four young people, after a bottle of chemicals exploded after being thrown in the window of a school. According to a press release, three were interviewed on the spot, while the fourth was taken to a local police station.
Swedish Radio News reports the boy is under the age of 15. He’s under suspicion for endangering the public and assault.
He was later allowed to go home with his parents when it was determined he needs legal representation, and will be questioned on Friday.
At midday Wednesday, three teachers and 11 students were burned when a plastic bottle exploded and splashed them with corrosive fluid. The school, Kvarnbergsskolan in Huddinge, was evacuated of all 600 pupils.
Four people were taken to the hospital.
