A Swede suspected of planning to bomb newspaper offices in Copenhagen has been sentenced to twelve years imprisonment by a Danish court of appeal.

Prosecutors had pressed for a longer sentence, but the court of appeal was not unanimous in its verdict. Two of the lay judges wanted the sentence to be cut to ten years, according to news agency TT.

Four men have now been sentenced to twelve years imprisonment each, the Swede was the only suspect to appeal the earlier sentence.
