Russia has defeated Sweden 4-3 in the finals of the World Bandy Championships, played in Vänersborg, here in Sweden.

The match came to a halt a couple of minutes before the end, when a referee was injured after colliding with a Russian player and had to leave the ice. Sweden scored its third goal, shortly after play resumed.

The Russians led 2-1 at half time.

The game was a replay of last year’s finals, which Sweden won.
