Queen Sylvia has reported several newspapers to the Press Ombudsman, for publishing a satirical photomontage showing her trying to wipe away a swastika from the floor, while her husband, the king, eats pizza from a naked woman's body.

The image, titled Pizzabuffén ("the pizza buffet") is by artist Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin and was published in the Social Democratic paper Tiden, and then later in tabloids Expressen and Aftonbladet and also in Sydsvenskan.

In the royal complaint to the Press Ombudsman it states that the picture makes a "serious accusation" against the Swedish Queen, and that it "makes the claim that Her Majesty the Queen tried to sweep Nazism under the rug."

Queen Sylvia has several times faced questions about her German father's role as a member of the Nazi party during the Hitler years.
