The man who left an unconscious man lying on a Stockholm subway track after he robbed him last September is also suspected of killing a person in France, reports Swedish Television news.

Johan Sone, an inspector at the National Police Board, says the 28-year-old man is suspected of aggravated assault and negligent homicide dating back to an incident in Paris in 2011.

A Swedish court sentenced the man in October to one and half years in prison for grand theft.

The incident in the Stockholm metro station was covered all over the world. A TV viewer in France recognized the man from a subway surveillance camera and contacted the French police.

Swedish authorities say they will request that he be deported to France after he serves his sentence.
