Southern Sweden braced for snow storm
The Swedish Met Office (SMHI) has issued a category-two weather warning for southern Sweden, with experts warning that as much as 25 centimetres of snow could fall in the region on Monday night.
On Monday afternoon, several train services between Malmö and Ystad, and Helsingborg and Ängelholm were cancelled, to allow for snow clearing, the Swedish Transport Association said in a press release.
SMHI also issued a category-one weather advisory, for Sweden's southern coastal waters, where strong winds with gusts of up to 21-23 metres per second are expected.
The weather warning system in Sweden comes in three stages, with category three being the most severe.
