Performing baptism could get priest in trouble
The Swedish Church may punish a priest in Sörmland for christening a teenaged girl without the consent of her father, according to Eskilstuna-Kuriren
In order to baptize a minor, the Church must have approval from both of the person's guardians.
In this case, however, the father was not asked about it and only found out after the fact that his daughter had been both baptized and confirmed. He decided to report the priest to the diocese.
The priest now has several weeks to give her standpoint on the case.
