Boden suspect wanted Engla case lawyer

Published onsdag 5 juni 2013 kl 12.33

The man accused of killing and dismembering a young woman has been told he cannot have two lawyers to represent him. Luleå district court ruled ruled today that the major media attention on the case was not enough of a reason.

The 22-year old suspect is accused of killing a 20-year old woman at the beginning of May. Her body parts were eventually found by a large team of volunteers after a major search.

The suspect is currently detained, and police say they found the dead woman's blood in his car.

The 22-year old man's father wants him represented by Jan Kyrö, who defended a man later convicted of killing and abusing the body of a 10-year old girl in the "engla case" of 2008.
