Counterfeit honey taken off shelves

Almost 19 thousand kilos of fake honey has been taken out of the market by Swedish authorities, news agency TT reports.

The product, called Midyat Honey, was a mix of sugars and honey flavouring, according to the National Food Administration. The administration has also contacted similar authorities in Finland and Lithuania where it has also been sole, according to TT, as well Turkey, where it was manufactured.
