Seal pups found on land are released into wild
Two seal pups found on the land, far from the water, exhausted, and hungry during Easter weekend, have been released back into the wild, reports Swedish Radio news.
The pups, named Anders and Benjamin, were living at the zoo in Kolmården before personnel released them back into the Baltic Sea Wednesday.
The Environmental Protection Agency gave the zoo special dispensation to hold the wild animals until they could be released.
The zoo managed to fatten up the two pups who weighed 10 and 17 kilos respectively when they arrived. They each weighed around 50 kilos when they were released.
