Swedes can keep their liquorice snus

The EU parliament will probably not lift its ban on the export of Swedish snus, but there is a good chance that the EU will not become involved in regulating the flavor additives and ingrediants in moist snuff, called "snus," which is sold on the domestic market.

Carl Schlyter of the Green Party, who is negotiating the issue in the EU, is convinced that the EU parliament will not try to regulate the flavoring of Swedish snus.

"If snus is available only in Sweden, it is reasonable that we can regulate this ourselves," Schlyer told Swedish Radio news.
