Gothenburg gets buses of the future
Silent, emission-free electric buses will be a reality in Sweden’s second largest city Gothenburg by 2015.
The new buses will ply a route between two Gothenburg Science Parks and will be powered by renewable electricity.
"This is a whole new way of travelling and offers public transport the possibility to contribute to a more pleasant urban environment," says Volvo head Olof Persson in a statement.
On board the buses, passengers will have access to new technology, and at least one of the stops will be indoors.
