Several dead in Midsummer weekend traffic

Six people died in traffic accidents during Midsummer weekend, known to be one of the deadliest times of the year to be on the road in Sweden.

The first victim, a 65-year-old woman, was claimed on Thursday evening in an accident on the E4 motorway near Uppsala.

On Saturday, a man died after he had ended up under a minibus in an accident in Medelpad in central Sweden.

On Sunday night, two men and a woman were killed in a head-on collision on the E10 in Norrbotten. Earlier on Sunday, a man in his fifties died after having driven his motorbike off the road near Vansbro in Dalarna.

Meanwhile, three people were in a critical condition after a truck accident in Gothenburg on Saturday, according to police.
