The government alliance continues to lose support according to the latest opinion poll published by  TV4/Novus, Saturday. The four centre-right coalition parties drop 0.6 percent compared to a Novus poll in May and enjoy 40.2 percent of voter support.

The opposition parties taken together have increased support by 1.3 percent to 49.8 percent, the biggest lead over the government in a Novus poll since 2010.

The largest party in power, the Moderates, have dropped 1.2 percent while the opposition Social Democrats increased its support from May by 0.9 percent.

Sweden's political parties begin a week of heavy campaigning in Visby on the island of Gotland, Sunday, known as Almedalen Week.
