Two fishermen out to catch crayfish off Sweden's west coast Monday afternoon were joined by around ten killer whales.

"They were completely unafraid and unconcerned about us. Had I wanted to, I would have been able to touch them," said Henrik Wennerberg.

The killer whales swam alongside for a long while, and according to the fishermen they were almost as long as the 12-metre fishing boat.

Henrik Wennerberg said it is the first time in 20 years as professional fisherman he has been close to killer whales, and he has never heard of any approaching a boat.

"They were a metre away from me," he told Swedish Radio.
