Fans of locally produced strawberries can rest assured this year that the precious red berries on supermarket sheves labeled as "grown in Sweden" are actually produced in this country.

Imported strawberries– which are usually cheaper than native berries– have in previous years been repackaged to falsely suggest they are produced locally.

Strawberries from 150 different retailers throughout the country have been tested, according to Swedish Radio News. Only two are suspected of having sold imported berries under a false flag.
