Pack some common sense in the beach bag

With holidays and a bright sunshine, the beach is the place of choice for many here in Sweden.

But do we forget to bring our manners with us to the beach? Swedish etiquette expert Magdalena Ribbing, author of 16 books on how to behave, offers some advice to beach novices, writes TT News Agency.

"Smoking, or bringing your dog, is an absolute no on a public beach. The same goes for playing your favourite music on top volume, imagine what it would sound like if everybody did that?," says Magdalena Ribbing.

She believes people should also think about what they wear.

"Some women walk around bare-breasted and in such small bikini underwear that they might as well be naked. And many men trot about like roosters with little silver things lifting the family jewels, not at all considering that people may not want to see it".

She says that respect and common sense are the most important things to pack in your beach bag.
